Singer G-Dragon revealed his thoughts on participating in ‘Good Day’.
On the afternoon of the 13th, an online press conference for MBC's entertainment program ‘Good Day’ was held. Attendees included G-Dragon, Jung Hyung-don, Defconn, Code Kunst, and PD Kim Tae-ho.
‘Good Day’, which will premiere on the 16th at 9:10 PM, is a music project where G-Dragon collaborates with various figures to complete the song of the year. It will capture the process of telling the stories of diverse individuals through music, produced by G-Dragon.
On this day, G-Dragon said, “As I monitored the activities of my seniors and juniors, I remembered that when I was younger, senior singers would gather in one place to sing and perform, showing unity. That was the biggest motivation for me to dream of becoming a singer. While I wanted to become a singer, I also had a longing to be in a gathering with the great singers who have succeeded.”
He added, “At some point, the K-pop genre has grown globally, and schedules have become busy, and the system for creating content has changed. Personally, I found that kind of scene heartwarming, and my personal wish was to take the initiative in such gatherings (for interaction). I believe there is synergy that occurs within that.”
G-Dragon also mentioned, “I am part of the middle generation. Next year, Big Bang will celebrate its 20th anniversary. I felt I needed to leave something meaningful that I can do. Since I’m doing it, I wanted to set the stage properly. It’s not just limited to singers; when people from various fields gather in one place, it brings joy to the viewers. Since we are doing good things, I hope we can remember each other not just as schedules but as good days.”
‘Good Day’ will premiere on the 16th at 9:10 PM.
