The final honor of 'Current King of Singers 2' went to 'The God of Janggu' Park Seo-jin. Jin Hae-sung took 2nd place, and Enok was selected for 3rd place.
The MBN 'Current King of Singers 2' final, which was broadcast live for 200 minutes on the afternoon of the 25th, featured the top 10 (Hwanhee, Shin Yu, Kim Soo-chan, Park Seo-jin, Jin Hae-sung, Kim Jun-su, Choi Soo-ho, Kang Moon-kyung, Shin Seung-tae, Enok) in the 2nd round 'Song of the Current' mission for the final stage.
On this day, the total score from the 1st and 2nd round points, national support votes, new song digital scores, and real-time text voting scores determined the top 7 representatives to participate in the 2025 'Korea-Japan King of Singers Competition' and the much-anticipated 2nd 'Current King of Singers' was born. Notably, the 'real-time text voting', which accounted for 40% of the total score, determined the final rankings. On this day, the valid votes for real-time text voting were counted as 2,033,583 out of a total of 2,434,804 votes.
The final 1st place went to Park Seo-jin, who recorded a total score of 4,574 points. Following him were 2nd place Jin Hae-sung (3,969.95 points), 3rd place Enok (3,648.76 points), 4th place Shin Seung-tae (3,508.82 points), 5th place Kim Jun-su (3,461.37 points), 6th place Choi Soo-ho (3,379.53 points), and 7th place Kang Moon-kyung (3,316.53 points). 8th place Hwanhee (3,150.11 points), 9th place Kim Soo-chan (3,058.72 points), and 10th place Shin Yu (2,779.54 points) unfortunately did not make it into the TOP 7.
Park Seo-jin expressed, "I didn't know I would win, so I didn't prepare a speech. My mind is blank. I will work harder." He continued, "I am very grateful to the fans who supported me in this cold weather. I wonder how happy my brothers in heaven would be to see this."
Jin Hae-sung, who placed 2nd, recalled his late grandmother, who passed away without seeing the final stage of 'Current King of Singers 2', saying, "Thank you to the citizens who voted a lot and to the fans. To our grandmother in heaven, you couldn't see the final stage, but I achieved a good result. Thank you."
The 2nd Current King of Singers Park Seo-jin will receive a prize of 100 million won, a domestic and international tour concert, and the production of the winning song as special benefits. The TOP 7 will advance to the 'Korea-Japan King of Singers Competition', which will be held this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations.
