Seo Hee-won, the wife of group Clone member Goo Jun-yeop and a Taiwanese actress, has suddenly passed away, and her sister Seo Hee-je has revealed some of her personal belongings.
On the 9th, Seo Hee-je posted a photo on her SNS without any special comments. The photo shows a ribbon-shaped hairpin, presumed to be one of Seo Hee-won's personal belongings.
Earlier, Seo Hee-won suddenly passed away on the 2nd while on a family trip to Japan due to pneumonia accompanied by the flu. The family completed the cremation process in Japan and transported her ashes to Taiwan. The remains are set to be interred in a type of natural burial known as a tree burial.
Seo Hee-won debuted in 1994 with her sister in the group ‘SOS’ and is also famous for her role as the female lead in the Taiwanese drama ‘Boys Over Flowers.’ In Korea, she was known as ‘Taiwanese Geum Jan-di,’ named after the female lead character in a domestic drama.
Seo Hee-won also drew attention for her movie-like love story with Goo Jun-yeop. In the late 1990s, she dated Goo Jun-yeop for about two years before they broke up. She later married Chinese businessman Wang Shao-bi (Wang Xiao-pei) in 2011, but they divorced in 2021. After hearing this news, Goo Jun-yeop reached out to Seo Hee-won, and they reunited. After 20 years of waiting, they became a couple in 2022, but she passed away just three years after their marriage.
