BOYNEXTDOOR has achieved another 'career high' by heading straight to the top of the music and album charts upon their comeback.
The title track 'I Feel Good' from BOYNEXTDOOR's mini album 4 'No Genre' reached the top of the Bugs real-time chart at midnight on the 14th (same standard hereafter). In Melon's 'Top 100', which ranks based on the combined usage of the last 24 hours and the most recent hour, it peaked at 5th place.
The song 'Today Only I LOVE YOU', which has been maintaining a top position on the charts since its release in January, also rose alongside it, securing 4th place on this chart. Additionally, tracks from the mini album such as '123-78' (6th), 'Step By Step' (9th), 'Are You Joking?' (10th), and 'Next Mistake' (12th) are also receiving consistent love. This is the first time that not only the title track but also the majority of the album's tracks from BOYNEXTDOOR have positioned themselves in the upper ranks of Melon's 'Top 100'.
In the album sector, BOYNEXTDOOR's momentum is remarkable. According to Hanteo Chart, BOYNEXTDOOR's mini album 4 'No Genre' sold 708,558 copies on its first day (13th), ranking 1st on the daily album chart. This is nearly 100,000 copies more than the first-day sales of their previous mini album '19.99'. Considering that '19.99' has surpassed a cumulative sales of 1 million copies, BOYNEXTDOOR's second million-seller is highly anticipated.
They are also gaining attention in the global market. As of 6 AM on the 14th, 'No Genre' topped the charts in 7 countries/regions including Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, and appeared on the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in a total of 13 countries/regions including Canada, Denmark, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey. 'I Feel Good' entered the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 11 countries/regions by 6 AM on the same day, and also ranked 3rd on the real-time top song chart of Line Music, a major music site in Japan.
BOYNEXTDOOR is gaining broad empathy by creating 'life-closely related music' infused with their own individuality. Their consistent use of handheld microphones during live performances has also received positive responses. As a result, BOYNEXTDOOR has steadily broken their own records with each activity, achieving stepwise growth. Their mini album 1 'WHY..', released in September 2023, entered the main Billboard album chart 'Billboard 200' at 162, followed by mini album 2 'HOW?' at 93, and mini album 3 '19.99' at 40, continuing their upward trend.
Their mini album 4 'No Genre' reflects their bold ambition to create music without confining themselves to any genre.
