Clone's Koo Jun-yup has arrived in Taiwan holding the ashes of the late Seo Hee-won.
According to local Taiwanese media on the 6th (local time), Koo Jun-yup departed from Japan with Seo Hee-won's family and arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport in Taiwan.
Local media reported that Koo Jun-yup boarded the plane with Seo Hee-won's ashes in his arms and continued to hold his wife's ashes closely after arriving. He is said to have asked those around him to “cover with an umbrella so that Hee-won won't be surprised.”

Seo Hee-won's younger brother, Seo Hee-je, stated in an official position, “My sister has returned home peacefully. We decided to spend the last moments with family,” expressing the intention to quietly commemorate her without a farewell ceremony. The family plans to respect Seo Hee-won's wishes and will place her remains in a memorial park in the Sanzhi area of New Taipei City without separate funeral procedures.
No Will?… The Remaining 120 Billion Won Inheritance and Custody Issues
However, separate from the quiet memorial atmosphere, the possibility of legal disputes over Seo Hee-won's inheritance and custody of their two children is increasing.

If Seo Hee-won did not leave a separate will, the inheritance will be legally divided into one-third each for Koo Jun-yup and their two children.
However, the issue lies in the marital registration under Taiwanese law.
Local media raised the possibility that while Seo Hee-won registered her marriage with Koo Jun-yup in Korea, it may not be recognized in Taiwan, potentially not acknowledging him as a legal spouse. However, Koo Jun-yup revealed the fact of their registration during his appearance on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' in 2022, stating, “This photo was taken on the day we registered our marriage in Taiwan.”
Additionally, custody issues are a key point of contention.

Under Taiwanese law, if one parent dies, custody automatically transfers to the surviving parent (Wang Xiao-pei).
Since Koo Jun-yup is not the legal guardian of the two children, the likelihood of Wang Xiao-pei managing the children's inheritance is increasing.
What Remains… Koo Jun-yup's Choices and Legal Judgments
Following Seo Hee-won's sudden death, Koo Jun-yup has not let go of her ashes for a single moment. He quietly bid farewell to his wife and said his last goodbyes. However, the law and reality now signal another battle he must face.
With a 120 billion won inheritance, custody issues for the two children, and legal status in Taiwan, attention is focused on whether Koo Jun-yup can uphold Seo Hee-won's final love until the end.
