The new special unit of the group SEVENTEEN, Hoshi X Woozi, is reaching out to fans with their new song 'Same Age'.
Hoshi X Woozi posted the tracklist for their first single 'BEAM' on SEVENTEEN's official SNS on February 28 at 9:06 PM. According to this, the new release includes a total of three songs, including the title track 'Same Age', 'Pinocchio (feat. So!YoON!)', and 'Stupid Idiot'.
The most anticipated song is undoubtedly 'Same Age'. Hoshi X Woozi participated in the lyrics and composition of this track, sharing their story lightly from their trainee days until now. As friends born in 1996 and leaders of SEVENTEEN's performance and vocal teams, the two are expected to rise as representatives of the '96 line' through this new song.
Hoshi X Woozi's names are credited on all tracks included in the new release, including 'Same Age'. The first track 'Pinocchio (feat. So!YoON!)' was completed with Hoshi's lyrics and Woozi's lyrics and composition. The last track 'Stupid Idiot' was created with melodies and lyrics written together by Hoshi X Woozi. Bumzu, who has produced numerous hit songs for SEVENTEEN, also contributed to the entire album's production.
An unusual collaboration also draws attention. Hwang So-yoon, the frontperson of the band Seventeen and a solo artist active as So!YoON!, features on 'Pinocchio (feat. So!YoON!)'. Fans are excited to see what kind of synergy will be created between him and Hoshi X Woozi, as he has collaborated with various artists including BTS's RM, Silica Gel, and Phum Viphurit.
'BEAM' is a title that signifies the light emanating from Hoshi X Woozi. The originality and self-love that Hoshi X Woozi have built through continuous challenges are expressed in various lights. Following the tracklist, they will release a trailer on the 3rd, two official music video teasers on the 8th and 9th, and the music video for 'Same Age' along with the entire new album on the 10th at 6 PM.
SEVENTEEN's group activities will also continue. They will hold 'SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND' at the Incheon Munhak Stadium on the 20th and 21st. In April and May, they will hold a total of five local fan meetings at the Kyocera Dome Osaka and Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
