The momentum of 'Mickey 17' (directed by Bong Joon-ho) has somewhat diminished, while the new releases 'Invasion' and 'Whiplash' debuted at second and third place, respectively.
According to the integrated ticketing system of the Korean Film Council on the morning of the 13th, 'Mickey 17' attracted 44,652 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to 2,241,018. It had over 40,000 viewers the day before and over 50,000 the day before that. Given the enormous production costs, it still has a long way to go to turn a profit.
Second place goes to 'Invasion,' which attracted 10,513 viewers. Following it is 'Whiplash,' which opened on the same day and drew in 10,211 viewers.
Fourth place is held by 'Nobocaine,' and fifth place by 'Conclave,' with cumulative audiences of 7,907 and 95,726, respectively.
The real-time pre-sale rate leader is 'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack,' which opens today. Following it are 'Mickey 17,' 'Invasion,' and 'Whiplash' in that order.
