
The movie ‘Hitman 2’ (Director Choi Won-seop) has firmly captured the weekend box office following the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the integrated ticketing system of the Korean Film Council on the 2nd, ‘Hitman 2’ attracted 177,133 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,831,576. It is undoubtedly in 1st place at the box office. The break-even point is approximately 2.3 million.
In 2nd place is Song Hye-kyo’s ‘The Black Nuns’ (Director Kwon Hyuk-jae). On the same day, it was chosen by 96,045 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,363,861. It is on the verge of surpassing the break-even point of 1.6 million.
3rd place goes to ‘The Secret That Cannot Be Told’ (Director Seo Yu-min), which attracted 63,004 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 298,298. The break-even point for this film is approximately 800,000, so it still has a long way to go.
4th place is ‘Harbin’ (Director Woo Min-ho), which drew 23,298 viewers, resulting in a cumulative audience of 4,847,111. The break-even point is approximately 6.3 million.
As for real-time ticket reservations, ‘The Secret That Cannot Be Told’ is currently in 1st place. It has about 50,000 reservations, with a reservation rate of 22.1%. In 2nd place is ‘Hitman 2’, followed by ‘The Black Nuns’ in 3rd place. Ha Jung-woo’s new film ‘Broken’ remains in 4th place.
