The movie 'Hitman 2' (directed by Choi Won-seop) has dominated the theaters during the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council, from the 25th to the 30th during the Lunar New Year holiday, Kwon Sang-woo's 'Hitman 2' attracted 1,269,081 viewers, reaching a cumulative total of 1,518,017 viewers. It is undoubtedly ranked first at the box office. The break-even point is approximately 2.3 million.
In second place is Song Hye-kyo's 'The Black Nuns' (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae). During the same period, it was chosen by 1,005,136 viewers, bringing its cumulative total to 1,186,521 viewers. The film's break-even point is about 1.6 million, and it is expected to surpass that comfortably.
In third place is 'Harbin' (directed by Woo Min-ho), which attracted 221,975 viewers, reaching a cumulative total of 4,801,901 viewers. The cumulative total is approximately 6.3 million.
Fourth place goes to 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' (directed by Seo Yu-min), which was seen by 189,518 viewers, bringing its cumulative total to 191,803 viewers. The film's break-even point is about 800,000.
Following that is 'Pokémon the Movie: Ag: Mew and the Wave Hero Lucario' (directed by Kunihiko Yuyama), which attracted 90,275 viewers, reaching a cumulative total of 116,165 viewers.
As for real-time ticket sales, 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' has risen to first place. It has recorded 56,753 pre-sales with a booking rate of 22.4%. In second place is 'Hitman 2' with 54,605 pre-sales and a booking rate of 21.6%, while 'The Black Nuns' is in third place with 49,931 pre-sales and a booking rate of 19.7%.
