According to Dispatch on the 17th, Kim Min-hee has naturally conceived a child with director Hong Sang-soo. Photos of the two visiting an obstetrics and gynecology clinic together have also been released, drawing attention. The expected due date is this spring.
The two, who became connected through the film "Right Now, Wrong Then" (2015), have developed a romantic relationship despite their 22-year age difference. Since revealing their affair at the premiere of the film "On the Beach at Night Alone" in 2017, they have not appeared in public together in South Korea.
Since then, Kim Min-hee has only appeared in films directed by Hong. The two have collaborated on films including "On the Beach at Night Alone," "The Day After" (2017), "Claire's Camera," "Grass" (2018), "Hotel by the River" (2018), "The Woman Who Ran" (2020), "The Novelist's Film," "Top" (2022), "In Water," "Our Day" (2023), and "Suyucheon" (2024).
Director Hong Sang-soo, who married in 1985 and has a daughter, is still legally married to his ex-wife. In November 2016, Hong filed for divorce against his wife, but the Seoul Family Court dismissed the case in 2019. Hong did not appeal the decision.

Hong is famously known as the "Man of Berlin," having received invitations to the festival eight times.
