
Singer An Ye-eun has stepped up to donate to support wildfire victims.
On the 26th, An Ye-eun shared a post on her SNS saying, "I have to do what I can," along with a photo.
The photo included a transfer record showing a donation of 10 million won to the Disaster Relief Association. It appears she is contributing to relief efforts for the damage caused by wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
Previously, An Ye-eun retweeted posts warning about the dangers of wildfires and encouraging fundraising on her SNS. She also expressed her concern for the ongoing wildfires by posting, "I hope it rains a lot."
The wildfire that broke out in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk on the 22nd has spread to four cities and counties in the northeastern region, including Andong. A total of 15 fatalities have been reported in Andong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok. Currently, over 27,000 people have taken refuge in temporary shelters.
Additionally, the Gounsa Temple located in Uiseong has been completely destroyed. The temple, founded by Master Uisang in the first year of the Silla King Sinmun (681 AD), housed the National Treasure No. 2078, Yeonsujeon, which was also consumed by the flames.
In the meantime, celebrities are extending their helping hands. Lee Chan-won, from Uljin, Gyeongbuk, donated 100 million won through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on the 25th, and Jang Min-ho also donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross for wildfire recovery efforts. Suzy donated 100 million won, while Yoo Jae-suk, Go Min-si, and NCT Haechan each contributed 50 million won.
