Rapper Verbal Jint wrote on social media, "Every moment we shared was an honor, and I am grateful. You worked so hard. Rest in peace, Wheesung," expressing his condolences.
2AM's Lee Chang-min said, "He was an artist I truly wanted to emulate. I will remember him. Rest in peace," paying his respects.
Rapper Paloalto reminisced, "He was a promising artist among R&B lovers even before his debut, and I went to see his first concert after his first album came out. It's shocking and heartbreaking. Thank you for being part of my good memories in my youth through your music," reflecting on his memories.
Additionally, rapper San E shared a tribute message saying, "Rest in Peace, Hyung," while Haengju expressed, "My heart is so pained and heavy. Please rest comfortably in the sky. I pray for the deceased's soul," lamenting the loss.
Rapper Changmo stated, "Thank you for having a great impact on my life with your wonderful music. I pray for the deceased's soul," honoring Wheesung with his song "Morning."
The joint concert "The Story" featuring Wheesung and KCM, scheduled to be held on the 15th at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium, has been canceled.
Wheesung was found dead at around 6:29 PM on the 10th in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The late artist's agency, Tajo Entertainment, stated, "Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home and was pronounced dead. All of us at Tajo Entertainment, including his family and fellow artists, are mourning his sudden passing with heavy hearts," they announced.
