
Singer Kim Da-hyun has been appointed as the Taekwondo ambassador.
On the morning of the 6th, Kim Da-hyun attended the appointment ceremony held at the World Taekwondo Headquarters, Kukkiwon, where she received the ambassador appointment certificate and a taekwondo uniform from the Kukkiwon President Lee Dong-seob.
The daughter of Master Kim Bong-gon from Cheonghak-dong, Kim Da-hyun gained fame as a Korean traditional music trott fairy and is currently active between Korea and Japan. She recently released a new song titled 'Bok Deureogayu'.
Kim Da-hyun stated, "In my childhood (at the age of 7-8), I learned taekwondo forms at Jeongmu Taekwondo Dojang and Suriyon Taekwondo Gym. Since then, I have always been interested in the beauty and excellence of taekwondo." She added, "I will play a role in promoting taekwondo, which embodies the martial arts spirit of loyalty, filial piety, and overcoming oneself to benefit the world. I will do my best to correctly convey the values and roles of Kukkiwon, which is leading the future of taekwondo."
