Actor Kim Soo-kyum mourned the late Kim Sae-ron.
On the 17th, Kim Soo-kyum shared on his Instagram story, "I will always tell you what I want to say. Be happy, really, no matter where you are," paying tribute to the deceased.
The accompanying photo shows Kim Sae-ron smiling, adding to the poignancy. Kim Soo-kyum had previously worked at the same agency, Gold Medalist, as the late actress.
The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul reported that they received a call at 4:54 PM on the 16th regarding Kim Sae-ron's death at her home and confirmed the death upon arrival. A police official stated, "No signs of external intrusion or criminal suspicion were found, but we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death."
Kim Sae-ron debuted as a baby model in the magazine "Anfang" in 2001 and began her acting career with the film "Traveler" in 2009. She gained recognition for her role in the 2010 film "The Man from Nowhere" alongside actor Won Bin, and appeared in several works including "Neighbors," "Manhole," "Dohee-ya," "Snowy Road," and "Local People."
While actively working, Kim Sae-ron faced a crisis in 2022 due to a drunk driving incident. She aimed for a comeback as an actress after two years through the play "Dongchimi," but faced difficulties due to negative public sentiment. The film "Guitar Man," which she completed filming last year, became her final work.
The deceased's funeral hall has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, with the funeral scheduled for 6:20 AM on the 19th.
