Seo Hee-won dated Gu Jun-yeop for about two years in the late 1990s before they broke up. She later married Chinese businessman Wang Shao-fei in 2011. However, they divorced in 2021, and after Gu Jun-yeop heard the news, he reached out, leading to their reunion. The two became a couple in 2022.
