As Taiwan's top star, the late Seo Hee-won (48), has passed away, Chinese director Wang Zhiqi, who criticized her husband Gu Jun-yeop as a “hypocrite,” has once again unleashed indiscriminate criticism towards her family and friends.
According to reports from local foreign media on the 14th, Chinese film director Wang Zhiqi has been harshly criticizing Seo Hee-won's close friend Jia Yongjie and her brother Seo Hee-je.
First, Wang Zhiqi pointed out the outfit of Jia Yongjie, a close friend of Seo Hee-je, saying, “If you truly loved Seo Hee-won, you should not wear red or green clothes until the seventh day after her death. If you were really sad, you wouldn’t have worn red.”
In response, Jia Yongjie said, “What’s the problem with this?” and added, “Hee-won loved beauty. Therefore, we should all be beautiful. We don’t believe in that superstition.”
Wang Zhiqi then changed the subject to the deceased's tree burial, stating, “You do not deserve to be Seo Hee-won's friend because you did not speak up about the tree burial,” claiming that “the tree burial is an act of not loving Seo Hee-won and her two children.”
Furthermore, he criticized Seo Hee-won's brother Seo Hee-je, saying, “What right do you have to arrange the funeral and choose the tree burial? Why should Seo Hee-won be buried in a tree without a burial site?”
He even threatened by bringing up Taiwanese independence, saying, “I will tear you apart. I like to enforce justice whenever I get bored.” To this, Jia Yongjie responded, “Go ahead and try.”
Earlier, on the 9th, Wang Zhiqi stated, “I was a fan of the late Seo Hee-won, who was Gu Jun-yeop's wife in the past. I felt sad upon hearing the news of her death,” while belittling Gu Jun-yeop as an “old Korean man.” He further criticized, “I cannot accept the hypocritical promotional statement. There is no pain of losing a loved one, only a calculative appearance everywhere.”
Previously, Wang Zhiqi had also left a comment on Gu Jun-yeop's SNS statement after Seo Hee-won passed away, saying, “You are a phony person,” which caused controversy.
Seo Hee-won passed away on the 2nd during a trip to Japan due to influenza and pneumonia. Her remains returned to Taiwan on the 6th, and Seo Hee-won is set to rest in a tree burial.
Gu Jun-yeop has stated that he will transfer all his rights to the inheritance, which is currently the target of fake news, to his mother-in-law and will take legal action to ensure that bad people cannot access rights or property until their two children become adults.
Seo Hee-won married Chinese businessman Wang Shaobi (Xiao Fei) in 2011 and had one son and one daughter, but they divorced after 10 years in 2021. After that, Seo Hee-won announced her marriage to Gu Jun-yeop, who she had been in a relationship with 20 years ago, in March 2022.
