Broadcaster Park Ji-yoon has reportedly made a temporary gift to dispose of the apartment where her ex-husband Choi Dong-seok's parents reside.
According to Star News on the 10th, Park Ji-yoon donated an apartment located in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, under her personal name to a company she operates for free in December last year.
Previously, the apartment was subject to a provisional seizure by Choi Dong-seok, but Park Ji-yoon attempted to lift the seizure by posting a release bond, and ultimately the execution of the provisional seizure was canceled. It is reported that the ownership of the apartment has since been transferred to Park Ji-yoon's company, and during this process, Choi Dong-seok was said to be furious about Park Ji-yoon's unilateral decision.
In particular, as it became known that Choi Dong-seok's parents reside in the apartment, moral issues have also been raised.
According to industry sources, Choi Dong-seok and Park Ji-yoon purchased the apartment in 2020, investing 230 million won and 150 million won respectively to secure a residence for Choi Dong-seok's parents.
Currently, Park Ji-yoon is engaged in a divorce lawsuit with Choi Dong-seok, amid a battle over the truth. The couple, who married in November 2009 and have one son and one daughter, announced their divorce through media reports after 14 years of marriage in 2023.
Recently, it was revealed that Park Ji-yoon filed a lawsuit for damages against A, a friend of Choi Dong-seok, for being a third party in the relationship. In response, Choi Dong-seok also filed a lawsuit for damages against Park Ji-yoon and a man named B, claiming they were involved in an affair.
Both parties deny the affair allegations, and Choi Dong-seok has stepped down from the TV Chosun entertainment program 'Now I'm Alone' in which he was appearing.
