Gu Jun-yeop, a member of the group Clon, expressed his deep love for his wife, the late Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won.
On the 8th, Gu Jun-yeop shared a video on Instagram with the caption “I will love you forever,” featuring the sound of piano music.
In response, Kim Song, the wife of Clon member Kang Won-rae, commented, “Oh, it’s you playing.”
Seo Hee-won suddenly passed away on the 2nd during a family trip to Japan due to pneumonia accompanied by the flu. Gu Jun-yeop moved her ashes to Taiwan on the 6th.
Gu Jun-yeop expressed his feelings on social media, saying, “I would like to extend my deep gratitude to everyone who mourns for Hee-won. Right now, I am going through a time of indescribable sadness and pain, feeling as if my insides are being torn apart. I have no strength to speak and do not want to.”
As fake news continued to spread, he pleaded, “Can’t you please just let our Hee-won rest in peace? I earnestly ask this.”
Regarding the late Seo Hee-won's estate, he stated, “All of that estate was gathered with blood, sweat, and tears to protect the family she loved during her lifetime, so I plan to give all authority regarding it to my mother-in-law. I will take legal measures to ensure that the children’s rights are protected through a lawyer until they become adults, so that bad people cannot interfere.”
Gu Jun-yeop said, “The time I spent with Hee-won was a precious and invaluable gift that I would not trade for anything in the world,” and added, “I believe that protecting the family that Hee-won loved the most is the last thing I can do. Lastly, I would like to bow my head in gratitude once again to everyone who loved and mourned for our Hee-won.”
Seo Hee-won dated Gu Jun-yeop for about two years in the late 1990s before they broke up. She later married Chinese businessman Wang Sobi (Wang Xiaofei) in 2011, but they divorced in 2021. After hearing this news, Gu Jun-yeop reached out to Seo Hee-won, and they reunited. The two became a couple in 2022 after a 20-year wait, but their tragic separation occurred just three years after their marriage.
