Writer Kim Eun-sook and Yoon Ha-rim, CEO of HwaenDam Pictures, have stepped up for children in disaster-affected areas.
On the 5th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that writer Kim Eun-sook and CEO Yoon Ha-rim donated 60 million won for children and youth in childcare facilities in disaster-affected areas.
The donation will be used to support the birthdays and anniversaries of children at selected childcare facilities in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions through Hope Bridge.
They are members of the Hope Bridge high-value donor group, the 'Hope Bridge Honor Society,' and have practiced sharing every time disasters such as floods, wildfires, and earthquakes have occurred, starting with donations for the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014.
In addition, they have supported childcare facilities for children in disaster-affected areas every Children's Day and Christmas, and starting this year, they have expanded their support to include birthdays and anniversaries in a continuous support format.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a specialized organization for disaster relief fundraising established in 1961 by media companies and social organizations across the country. To date, it has supported 1.6 trillion won in donations and over 60 million items of relief supplies.
