Seohuiwon (Shu Shiyuan, English name: Barbie Hsu), the wife of Koo Jun-yup from the group Clon, has died of pneumonia, according to a report by Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA) on the 3rd. She was 48 years old.
Seohuiwon's younger sister, broadcaster Shu Shidi, stated through her agent, "Our family had all traveled to Japan, and my dearest and most caring sister, Barbie Hsu, unfortunately left us due to pneumonia caused by influenza."
Seohuiwon gained fame for her role as the female lead in the Taiwanese version of the drama "Boys Over Flowers." In Korea, she is famously known as "Taiwan's Geum Jan-di," named after the female lead in a domestic drama.
She married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and had a daughter (10) and a son (8), but they divorced in 2021.
Afterward, she dramatically reunited with her former lover Koo Jun-yup, whom she had dated 20 years ago, and they remarried in March 2022, causing a significant stir in both the Korean and Taiwanese entertainment industries.
