BTS's Jimin is challenging for the top spot in the first 'Pick of the Month' of the new year.
The voting for 'January Pick of the Month' conducted by the global fandom platform UPICK is heating up with intense competition as it approaches its end on the 20th, drawing passionate participation from fans.
The newly revamped 2025 'Pick of the Month' will feature the top 5 K-pop artists (male/female) who debuted before 2022 and rookie artists (male/female) who debuted after 2022, advancing to the 'Best Pick of the Month' voting, with the final competition divided into two groups of male and female artists.
As attention is focused on who will take the top spot in the first voting of the new year, BTS's Jimin, TWICE's Dahyun, aespa's Karina, and ENHYPEN's Sunghoon are among the top contenders in the K-pop artist category. In the rookie artist category, Close Your Eyes' Jang Yeo-jun, Sakurada Kenshin, Lissenne May, and NewJeans' Minji are also receiving strong support from fans and are positioned in the top ranks.
In particular, BTS's Jimin, who secured 1st place in UPICK's '2024 Pick of the Year' and received 15 advertising packages as a reward, including a package of 7 domestic advertisements and a special badge reward from UPICK, is expected to aim for the top spot again in this voting.
Additionally, the members of 'Close Your Eyes', selected as the debut team through the JTBC audition program 'PROJECT 7', are showing remarkable activity in the rookie category, demonstrating the power of their strong fandom even before their official debut.
Artists who secure 1st place in each category will be rewarded with large screen advertisements at the COEX Media Tower. After the 'Pick of the Month' voting ends, a 'Best Pick of the Month' voting will be conducted for artists ranked 1st to 5th in each category.
Meanwhile, UPICK is currently conducting the '2024 Best Position Awards' and 'February Birthday Voting', and has been selected as the official voting platform for 'The Awards' (D Awards), which will be held on February 22 at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium, preparing for various award voting and events.
