Jang Yoon-jung and Do Kyung-wan have paid tribute to the victims of the Muan Airport plane crash.
On the 29th, Jang Yoon-jung expressed her sorrow on her SNS account, stating, "This is such a heartbreaking accident. I pray for the souls of the deceased." Do Kyung-wan also conveyed his feelings, saying, "It’s so heartbreaking during the year-end and weekend. I pray for the souls of the deceased."
Earlier that day, at around 9:05 AM, an accident occurred at Muan International Airport when Jeju Air flight 7C2216, coming from Bangkok, Thailand, collided with the outer wall of the runway while landing. The aircraft was burned to the point that, except for the tail section, no shape remained after the collision.
The Jeonnam Fire Department held a briefing for the families of the passengers at the Muan Airport office, stating, "After colliding with the wall, passengers were thrown out of the aircraft. The chances of survival are almost none," and added, "Out of a total of 181 passengers, it is estimated that most have died, except for the 2 who were rescued."
