MC Park Ha-sun of ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’ sighed at the story of an international couple.
On the broadcast of JTBC’s ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’ on the 19th, the story of an American wife suffering from depression due to her husband’s habitual infidelity was revealed.
In the couple's daily life video shown that day, the husband’s infidelity was revealed, along with hurtful comparisons of the wife to other women. The husband, who had hurt his wife with three instances of infidelity, displayed an excessively confident and candid attitude, leaving everyone astonished.
Park Ha-sun deeply empathized with the wife, saying, “I think I would get depressed living like this,” and Jin Tae-hyun also expressed, “It’s so hard,” as everyone felt sorry for the couple’s situation. In particular, Seo Jang-hoon sincerely worried about the wife, who was in a serious depression, and did not hold back on his advice.
The couple received psychiatric counseling as the first solution. Psychiatrist Lee Kwang-min diagnosed the husband’s excessively candid words and actions that hurt the wife as symptoms of ADHD, stating that the function of the frontal lobe, which provides appropriate control, was diminished, saying, “It seems like there is no frontal lobe.”
The husband, shocked to learn that ADHD affected his problems, showed a willingness to change, shedding tears as he reflected on his past words and actions, realizing that the only person who could control him was his wife.
Next, in the couple's psychodrama solution, the husband had a time of reflection as he received back the hurtful actions he had inflicted on his wife. Psychodrama expert Kim Young-han, along with Park Ha-sun and Jin Tae-hyun, reenacted the couple's usual behavior as part of mirror therapy.
The husband could not hide his troubled expression as he experienced being compared to passing men and even faced scrutiny over his appearance. Additionally, through the reenactment of the infidelity incident, he received back the words and actions he had done, ultimately bursting into tears as he finally felt the pain his wife had endured. There is growing interest in whether this couple can understand each other’s feelings and heal their wounds through the solutions moving forward.
