The mortuary for the late Jang Je-won, former member of the National Power Party, has been set up at Busan Haeundae Baek Hospital.
On the 1st, the deceased's son, singer Noel (real name Jang Yong-jun), prepared the mortuary and welcomed mourners, reportedly shedding tears in the end.
After the news of his father's death, Noel left a message for his fans, calmly saying, "I will send him off well," and "Don't worry too much about me."
Having experienced numerous controversies and wounds at a young age, he ultimately broke down in tears in front of the mortuary, preparing for his final farewell to his father.
Mourning is possible from 10:30 AM on April 2, with the funeral scheduled for 9 AM on the 4th, and the burial site is reported to be at Siloam Park Cemetery.
Previously, the late Jang Je-won was found dead around 11:40 PM on March 31 in an officetel in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The police have secured a suicide note and are investigating the circumstances of his death, which reportedly contains information about his family.
He was serving as the vice president of a university in Busan until shortly before his death and was under police investigation related to a sexual assault allegation that occurred in 2015.
The accuser's side canceled a press conference scheduled for the morning of the 1st due to the deceased's death.
Meanwhile, his son Noel is a rapper who gained recognition in 2017 through "High School Rapper."
Despite controversies such as drunk driving and assault, he continued his music activities and recently announced a solo concert scheduled for May 31.
Currently, his social media contains the phrase "See you on May 31," raising interest in whether the concert will proceed.
According to sources, Noel is in a very exhausted state but is quietly keeping vigil at the mortuary, paying his final respects to his father.
