The child welfare organization Green Umbrella (Chairman Hwang Young-ki) announced on the 28th that Super Junior's Eunhyuk has donated 100 million won as emergency relief funds for the victims of the major forest fire that occurred in the Yeongnam region.
Immediately after the large-scale forest fire broke out, Green Umbrella initiated emergency relief efforts based on its own resources and separate donations, while assessing the damage situation of affected children’s families.
In this regard, Green Umbrella is visiting the homes of children affected by the forest fire to provide counseling and support for daily recovery, including emergency relief kits, living stabilization funds, and housing support.

Eunhyuk decided to donate after hearing about the forest fire, hoping for a quick recovery of the daily lives of the affected children. Green Umbrella plans to use the donation for essential supplies, food, and clothing support for children in emergency shelters and affected families who have evacuated from the fire.
Eunhyuk stated, “I hope this small help can assist those who have been affected, and I express my deep condolences to the victims. I sincerely hope that the forest fire is extinguished quickly without further loss of life.”
Shin Jeong-won, head of the Social Contribution Cooperation Department at Green Umbrella, expressed gratitude for the warm support sent to children who have lost their homes, saying, “We will continue to provide necessary support from the closest places to the children so that the affected families and children can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
