BTS's Jungkook has joined the support for wildfire victims by donating 1 billion won.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 28th that BTS member Jungkook has donated 1 billion won to support wildfire victims in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.

Of the donation made by Jungkook, 500 million won will be used for emergency support and the provision of relief supplies for those who have lost their homes due to the wildfires. The remaining 500 million won is planned to be used for awareness and treatment improvement projects for firefighters dedicated to disaster sites such as wildfires and fires.

Jungkook stated, “I hope this small help can be of assistance to everyone who is going through a tiring and difficult time. I wish for those suffering from the wildfires and everyone working hard on the firefighting efforts to quickly regain their peaceful daily lives.”

Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude for Jungkook's precious sharing towards his neighbors, saying, “We will do our best in on-site support activities so that his sincerity can be a great comfort to the affected residents.”

Hope Bridge is currently providing over 440,000 relief items, including relief kits, partitioning for evacuation shelters, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food to the wildfire-affected areas, and is continuing various on-site relief activities, including laundry support in shelters. Additionally, meal support for firefighters and on-site firefighting personnel is also underway.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising organization established in 1961 by media companies and social organizations across the country. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, community recovery after disasters, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters. To date, it has provided 1.6 trillion won in donations and over 60 million relief items.

Meanwhile, Jungkook previously donated 1 billion won to the Seoul National University Children's Hospital in 2023 to support treatment costs for children from low-income families and the integrated care center project.
