Modernberry Korea has announced a strong response to false claims surrounding its artist An Somi.
On the 28th, Modernberry Korea (hereafter referred to as Modernberry) stated in an official position that "we will take legal action against the YouTube channel Gaseyeon, which claimed false information that An Somi and CEO Kim Kwang-soo were dating."
Modernberry stated, "Gaseyeon conducted a broadcast with the intent to spread false information that An Somi and Pocketdol Studio's CEO Kim Kwang-soo were in a relationship," adding, "This constitutes clear defamation, and we have decided to take legal action to protect our artist."
They continued, "We will not tolerate the spread of baseless rumors and reckless speculation about our artist," and added, "We are already in the process of securing relevant materials through our legal representatives and will respond firmly under a zero-tolerance policy."

We would like to convey our official position regarding malicious comments, the spread of false information, personal attacks, and defamation directed at our artist An Somi.
We have continuously confirmed the ongoing spread of baseless false information and malicious comments against artist An Somi on online platforms and social media. We have closely reviewed the circumstances surrounding this and have decided to take legal action to protect the rights of our artist.
Furthermore, the claim that An Somi and Pocketdol Studio's CEO Kim Kwang-soo were dating, made in the video titled <[Shocking Exclusive] Girl Group 'DIA' Members Competing for One Man> posted on the Gaseyeon YouTube channel on March 2, 2024, is a clear falsehood, and we plan to take legal action regarding this.
In the future, we will take strong legal action against all malicious acts without any leniency, and we will continue to monitor for additional legal responses. Engaging in the creation, distribution, and spread of malicious posts against our artist is a clear criminal act, and we will continuously collect evidence related to this to take strong measures, including criminal complaints and civil damages.
