The family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron has released a final farewell message through a video utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), expressing sentiments they were unable to convey during her lifetime.
On the 15th, a video titled "An AI video created by the bereaved family in memory of Kim Sae-ron" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Kwon Young-chan TV'. In the video, AI technology was used to present Kim Sae-ron as if she were alive, delivering a farewell message to her fans and family.
In the video, Kim Sae-ron stated, "To everyone who loved and supported me, the time I spent with you was incredibly precious memories for me," and added, "I started acting from a young age, and there were times when I fell short and moments when I may have disappointed you. Nevertheless, I sincerely want to thank my fans who believed in me and waited for me."
She continued, "To my precious friends with whom I created many memories, thanks to you, I was able to smile a lot. I am grateful, and I hope I didn't make you cry too much," extending her final greetings to her friends.
She particularly expressed deep affection for her family, saying, "To my beloved family, thank you so much for always warmly embracing, watching over, and supporting me," conveying her heartfelt gratitude in a brief but sincere manner.
Finally, she concluded with, "If you remember me in the future, please remember me as bright and warm. I hope each and every one of you stays happy and healthy. Once again, I sincerely thank you. And I love you," as the video came to an end.
In the description of the video, it was stated that it was provided directly by Kim Sae-ron's family, expressing their intention to convey the late actress's final message to her fans and the public. Kwon Young-chan, the head of the Korean Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, explained, "The bereaved family decided to create a video using AI technology to convey the feelings that Kim Sae-ron was unable to express during her lifetime."
Meanwhile, on the 17th (today), Kim Sae-ron's family plans to file a lawsuit against Lee Jin-ho, who operates the YouTube channel 'Entertainment President', for spreading false information and defamation. Lee Jin-ho has produced and released several videos related to Kim Sae-ron since 2022, and currently, all those videos have been switched to private. The family indicated that "false information has damaged the late actress's reputation," hinting at legal action.
The late Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seoul on the 16th of last month. Following this, the channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' claimed that actor Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron, who was 15 years old at the time, for six years, sparking controversy. In response, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, stated, "They had already broken up three years ago, so it's hard to say they were dating," while strongly denying the rumors of a relationship during her minor years.
