The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has entered a new phase by directly refuting the statement from Gold Medalist, Kim Soo-hyun's agency.
"I read the statement over and over... I am displeased with the legal team's focus on the admissibility of evidence."
On the 16th, the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute (Gaseyeon) revealed an additional statement from the family of the late Kim Sae-ron.
The family expressed strong dissatisfaction with Gold Medalist's official stance, stating, "It was a statement that only politicians would use to question the admissibility of evidence." They also admonished, "Do not justify your actions by suddenly bringing up the crime of breach of trust."
They continued, "Gold Medalist sent a certified letter regarding the breach of trust issue to Sae-ron, but we never said not to be surprised," and claimed, "After receiving the certified letter, Sae-ron called the company representatives one by one, but no one answered."
"Was it Kim Soo-hyun's will or the company's will?" Sae-ron tried to confirm until the end.
The family lamented, "Sae-ron continued to reach out to confirm whether it was Kim Soo-hyun's will or the company's will, but ultimately could not get an answer."
They also emphasized that Kim Sae-ron tried to clarify her situation until the end, but no one from the company responded, stating, "It is absurd that they are now making a statement."
"The family of Kim Sae-ron will announce an official statement on the 17th... planning to sue YouTuber Lee Jin-ho."
Meanwhile, attorney Bujiseok, the legal representative of the late Kim Sae-ron's family, stated, "We plan to announce an official statement at 2 PM on the 17th at the Seoul Police Agency."
Attorney Bujiseok mentioned, "The family has appointed a lawyer for the first time," and added, "We will file a complaint against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho for spreading false information and defamation."
Lee Jin-ho had previously released videos related to Kim Sae-ron but switched those videos to private after her death. The family has indicated that they will take clear legal action regarding this matter.
Meanwhile, Lee Jin-ho stated, "I want to clear up misunderstandings with the family. I have no intention of avoiding the controversy and will sincerely clarify the situation," and is preparing to respond.
After the official announcement on the 17th, the controversy surrounding Kim Sae-ron is expected to enter a new phase.
