The group SEVENTEEN has illuminated its status as the 'top K-pop group' by winning the most trophies among foreign artists at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.
According to the Japan Record Association on the 12th, SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) was selected as the 'Best Asian Artist' at the '39th Japan Gold Disc Awards'. This award is given to the Asian artist with the highest sales based on physical albums, music videos, streaming, and other achievements. SEVENTEEN has been recognized in this category for two consecutive years, following last year.
Additionally, SEVENTEEN's best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE', released in April last year, and their mini album 'SPILL THE FEELS', released in October, were included in the Asia category's 'Best 3 Albums'. Notably, '17 IS RIGHT HERE' was also selected as the 'Album of the Year' in the Asia category, reflecting their high local popularity. With this, SEVENTEEN has achieved a total of 4 awards at the '39th Japan Gold Disc Awards'.

The 'Japan Gold Disc Awards', which started in 1987, is an award ceremony held by the Japan Record Association to honor artists and works that have contributed to the development of the music industry. The winners and award-winning works in each category are selected based on sales performance of albums, music videos, and streaming playback results over the past year.
SEVENTEEN achieved overwhelming success in Japan last year. They ranked the highest among foreign artists in the 'Combined Album Ranking' and 'Album Ranking' categories of the 'Oricon Annual Ranking 2024'. They also ranked 4th in the annual 'Total Sales by Artist' category announced by Oricon, achieving the highest rank among artists from regions outside Japan, including K-pop.
SEVENTEEN is set to meet local fans through a fan meeting in Japan. They will hold the 'SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING 'HOLIDAY'' at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 24 and 26-27, and at Saitama Super Arena on May 10-11. Prior to this, they will hold the '2025 SVT 9TH FAN MEETING
