Actor Kim Soo-hyun has been embroiled in rumors of a 6-year relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron. Kim Soo-hyun's side immediately claimed it was 'false information', while the YouTube channel Gaseyeon countered this claim.
On the 10th, Gaseyeon released a video on YouTube stating that Kim Soo-hyun, at the age of 28, was in a romantic relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, who was 15 years old, for 6 years. According to the content, the two dated from 2015 to 2021, and when Kim Soo-hyun established his agency Gold Medalist, the late Kim Sae-ron moved to that agency.
Additionally, when the late Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving accident in 2022, her agency paid 700 million won in compensation on her behalf, and although they did not demand repayment, they sent a notice to repay the amount after the contract expired in 2024. Subsequently, they revealed that Kim Soo-hyun had become unreachable, citing a claim from someone who claimed to be the deceased's aunt.
Following the broadcast, Gold Medalist stated, "The claims made by Gaseyeon regarding actor Kim Soo-hyun are clearly false information. Gaseyeon has made malicious claims against us and actor Kim Soo-hyun, suggesting that we colluded with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho to harass the late Kim Sae-ron, that the late Kim Sae-ron was in a relationship with actor Kim Soo-hyun from the age of 15, and that our agency's response to the late Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving accident was unjust. We will consider the strongest legal response possible against Gaseyeon's dissemination of false information," they emphasized.
They continued, "We feel deep sorrow at the news of the passing of the late Kim Sae-ron, who once worked with us, and we mourn her. However, Gaseyeon's dissemination of such false information is a repetition of the so-called 'cyber bullying' that the deceased struggled with in her life, and it damages not only our agency but also the honor of the deceased for their own benefit. We will respond sternly to this," they stated in their official position.
In response, Gaseyeon posted on their YouTube channel's bulletin board, "It seems Kim Soo-hyun doesn't know who Gaseyeon's Kim Se-ye is," and sarcastically remarked, "Legal action? Even the so-called world star BTS said they would take legal action against Gaseyeon. What was the result? All enlisted."
They added, "Is the once-popular Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun really going to take legal action against us? We at Gaseyeon broadcasted based on materials and interviews directly received from the late Kim Sae-ron's family," and continued, "Go ahead and try legal action against the family. The comments on the articles reflect public opinion."
Gaseyeon stated, "Tomorrow, someone will file a complaint regarding a minor's sexual issue," and questioned, "I hope it’s not about having sexual relations with a minor? It seems someone will file a complaint tomorrow. If there are any attempts to coerce or threaten the family secretly, you know what will happen, right? A scary uncle might come and eat everything."
They then pointed out, "By the way, why didn't you attend the funeral of Kim Sae-ron, which even Won Bin attended? You should have at least done the basic human decency."
