The funeral procedures for singer Wheesung, who suddenly passed away, will be temporarily postponed.
On the 11th, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul plans to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to investigate the specific cause of death of the late Wheesung.
Accordingly, the bereaved family plans to proceed with the funeral arrangements and the establishment of a mourning hall after the cause of death is clarified.
Wheesung was found dead at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 10th. He was 43 years old.
The police and fire authorities responded to a report and arrived at the scene around 6:29 PM that day, but Wheesung was already deceased at the time of discovery, and it is believed that a significant amount of time had passed since his death, so they are focusing on understanding the specific circumstances. Additionally, it has been reported that there were no signs of external intrusion or criminal suspicion.
In relation to this, his agency, Tajo Entertainment, stated, “On the 10th, our artist Wheesung left us. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead,” and added, “We are deeply saddened to convey this heartbreaking news to the fans who have given him unwavering support and love. We ask for your prayers for Wheesung to rest in peace.”
They continued, “We will provide separate guidance regarding the funeral,” and earnestly requested, “We kindly ask that unverified rumors and speculative reports be refrained from for the bereaved family, who are in great shock and sorrow.”
