Seo Kang-joon has obtained the notebook of his missing father.
In the fifth episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’ (hereafter ‘Under School’), the story unfolds as Jung Hae-sung (played by Seo Kang-joon) struggles among those chasing his identity.
On this day, the ratings recorded 7.2% nationwide and 7.0% in the metropolitan area according to Nielsen Korea. Notably, the epilogue scene where Su-a discovers a picture of Hae-sung's father, Jung Jae-hyun (played by Oh Ui-sik), in an old anthology peaked at 9.6%. Additionally, the key indicator of channel competitiveness and buzz, the 2049 rating, attracted viewers' attention with a score of 2.4%.

In yesterday's broadcast, Hae-sung successfully ranked within the top 10 students, one of the conditions to become a student council officer. He also attempted to flirt with Lee Ye-na (played by Kim Min-ju), who has the authority to select officers, to not fall behind other applicants, but the atmosphere quickly turned tense. Nevertheless, he was ultimately selected as a student council officer, adding to the fun.
Meanwhile, Oh Su-a (played by Jin Ki-joo) constantly suspected Hae-sung while reflecting on the events that occurred in the rooftop room. She even contacted the school before transferring to confirm her suspicions and mobilized fellow teacher Kim Ri-an (played by Lee Min-ji) to keep an eye on the National Intelligence Service's Domestic Team 4. It raises curiosity whether Su-a will be able to uncover Hae-sung's identity with her persistent deductive skills.
The subtle love triangle between Jung Hae-sung, Lee Ye-na, and Ahn Yoo-jung (played by Park Se-hyun) was also intriguing. Hae-sung approached Yoo-jung to mend their strained relationship as she began to avoid him, which caught Ye-na's attention. Later, Hae-sung and Yoo-jung ended up having a meal together at Ye-na's suggestion. During the meal, Hae-sung was taken aback when he saw Ye-na casually sending Yoo-jung on errands and bossing her around, which led Yoo-jung to reveal everything, adding to the tension.
Meanwhile, a crisis of sorts struck Hae-sung when he went to check on the grandfather clock in the student council room at midnight. While inspecting the clock, he received a mysterious letter that read, “Nice to meet you, Agent Jung Hae-sung.” Following that, he received a call from security guard Mr. Kim (played by Koo Min-hyuk), who knew his identity, asking to meet on the school rooftop, keeping the tension high.
At the end of the broadcast, an unexpected incident occurred, leading to unpredictable developments. As the clock struck midnight, the school bell rang, and shortly after, Mr. Kim's death occurred, marking the beginning of a truly mysterious event. Additionally, in his hand was Hae-sung's father's notebook, which left Hae-sung confused and heightened anticipation for the sixth episode.
Thus, the fifth episode of ‘Undercover High School’ sent chills down viewers' spines as Mr. Kim, who knows Hae-sung's identity, dies just before their meeting. It raises anticipation for what stories will unfold in relation to this incident in today's broadcast.
‘Undercover High School’ will air its sixth episode on March 8 at 9:50 PM.
