Singer Gu Jun-yeop conveyed his deep love for his late wife, Seo Hee-won, through a piano performance.
The 8th marked the 3rd anniversary of Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won's marriage registration in South Korea.
On this day, Gu Jun-yeop posted a video of himself playing the piano on his social media, along with the phrase “I will forever love you.” Although it was their official wedding anniversary, it was also the first anniversary since Seo Hee-won passed away.
“I will forever love you”… A Confession That Can No Longer Be Reached

The love story of Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won was like a movie. The two met for the first time in 1998 and dated for a year before parting ways due to personal circumstances. They reunited after 23 years and became a couple. They completed their marriage registration in South Korea on February 8, 2022, and also registered their marriage in Taiwan on March 28, becoming legally married.
However, just three years later, Seo Hee-won suddenly passed away, leading to an unexpected separation in their story.
Seo Hee-won died on the 3rd while traveling in Japan, as the flu worsened into pneumonia. In response to the sudden news, Gu Jun-yeop expressed his sorrow, saying, “I am going through a pain that feels like my insides are being torn apart.”
When Seo Hee-won's remains returned to Taiwan, Gu Jun-yeop asked the staff to “cover her with an umbrella so she wouldn’t be surprised,” showing his dedication to her until the end.
The Last Love Conveyed Through Piano Performance
On the 8th, the day of their 3rd wedding anniversary, Gu Jun-yeop expressed his heartfelt feelings for Seo Hee-won by posting a piano performance on his social media. Kim Song, the wife of his fellow Clon member Kang Won-rae, comforted him, saying, “So it’s you playing, oppa.”
The piano melody played by Gu Jun-yeop contained deeper emotions than words could express. It was a final confession of longing for Seo Hee-won, who is no longer by his side, on their ‘3rd wedding anniversary.’
Kang Won-rae’s Comfort: “I Think I Will Cry a Lot”
Meanwhile, Kang Won-rae, a long-time friend of Gu Jun-yeop and a member of Clon, also expressed his heartfelt feelings on social media, saying, “I think I will cry a lot when I meet Jun-yeop.” He recalled a supportive message Gu Jun-yeop had left for him in the past, saying, “I just hope you take good care of your health.”
Gu Jun-yeop responded to Kang Won-rae’s message, saying, “Thank you, Won-rae. I will try to endure. I think I will cry if we talk, so I’m just sending a KakaoTalk message.”
“I Will Forever Love You, Holding You in My Heart”
Gu Jun-yeop announced that he would give up Seo Hee-won’s inheritance of 1.2 billion won, stating, “Protecting Hee-won’s family is the last thing I must do.”
Even amidst the sorrow of losing his beloved wife, Gu Jun-yeop made a promise to protect Seo Hee-won’s family until the end.
The piano performance he posted contained his heartfelt longing for a love that can no longer be reached and his sincerity to hold her forever in his heart.
One wonders if his piano melody reached Seo Hee-won somewhere in the skies of Asia.
