Han Ji-eun from ‘Study Group’ has increased the immersion of the drama with her reliable acting skills.
The TVING original ‘Study Group’ (directed by Lee Jang-hoon and Yoo Beom-sang, written by Eom Seon-ho and Oh Bo-hyun, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Y Lab Plex, provided by TVING) is a comedic high school action drama about Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Min-hyun), who wants to study well but has all his talent focused on fighting, as he forms a ‘Study Group’ while diving into a bloody entrance exam at the worst school.
In episodes 3 and 4, released on the 30th, Han Ji-eun captivated viewers by playing Lee Han-kyung, a righteous teacher who prioritizes her students. Han-kyung is convinced that the one bullying her student Lee Hyun-woo (played by Park Yoon-ho) is Pi Han-ul (played by Cha Woo-min). Consequently, Han-kyung calls Han-ul to warn him and pleads with him to let Hyun-woo go, engaging in a tense psychological battle.
However, when Han-ul mockingly refuses, Han-kyung retorts, “No matter how hopeless they may seem, there’s no one we can give up on,” delivering a refreshing statement. Afterward, she promises to help Hyun-woo, revealing her sincere heart for her students. Han Ji-eun not only showcases a strong presence while pursuing justice but also elevates the drama's immersion with her solid acting skills.
Meanwhile, Han-kyung has a significant encounter with a detective who comes to see her. He asks her why she chose to go to Yuseong Technical High School, and upon hearing this, she smiles subtly, amplifying curiosity about the secret she holds.
Moreover, when the student council detains the members of the Study Group for not wearing their uniform tops at the school gate, Han-kyung presents a valid reason and rescues the members from the council. Her genuine actions, such as protecting her club members from evil, heighten the dramatic interest.
In this way, Han Ji-eun is providing a thrilling experience as she navigates school life with the Study Group students at Yuseong Technical High School. Her delicate emotional performance, stemming from her genuine concern for her students, leaves viewers eagerly awaiting the next episode. Han Ji-eun's lines, filled with deep resonance, evoke empathy and emotion, raising expectations for her dynamic portrayal of the character Lee Han-kyung in the future.
