‘Undercover High School’ has ignited the spark as it reveals the first stills of Seo Kang-joon, positioning itself as the most anticipated work of 2025.
Set to premiere on February 21 (Friday) at 9:50 PM, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’ follows the chaotic adventures of a National Intelligence Service agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down the whereabouts of Emperor Gojong's missing gold bars.
Seo Kang-joon plays the role of Jeong Hae-sung, an ace field agent of the National Intelligence Service, who is perfect in both looks and skills. Assigned a special mission by his director, Jeong Hae-sung disguises himself as a student and infiltrates a high school. Although he is solely focused on carrying out his mission, he soon finds himself getting involved in incidents occurring within the school alongside the students.

In relation to this, the stills released today (24th) showcase Seo Kang-joon's diverse appearances, capturing interest. He perfectly embodies the school uniform, drawing attention with visuals that seem to have jumped straight out of a romance comic. On the other hand, his transformation into a National Intelligence Service agent for the mission is also striking. In particular, his sharp gaze and serious expression as he observes the crime scene raise expectations for his performance.
Seo Kang-joon is expected to fully immerse himself in the character of Jeong Hae-sung, who must suddenly become a high school student and carry out a secret mission, intricately portraying the character's narrative and backstory. Additionally, the episodes he will showcase with Jin Ki-joo (playing Oh Soo-ah) and Kim Shin-rok (playing Seo Myung-joo), as well as the students from Byeongmungo, are also points of anticipation.
Nam Gung-seong-woo, the EP of MBC who planned ‘Undercover High School’, stated, “As this is Seo Kang-joon's first work after his military discharge, expectations are high. Please look forward to the performance of Seo Kang-joon, who possesses unparalleled charm and acting skills,” adding, “I hope you anticipate the intriguing process of uncovering the truth that Jeong Hae-sung is trying to reveal.”
Meanwhile, ‘Undercover High School’ is a collaboration between writer Lim Young-bin, known for solid stories and tight narratives in works like ‘Sketch’ and ‘The Great Show’, and director Choi Jeong-in, who brought fresh fun to the home theater with ‘Crazy’ and ‘The Flower That Blooms at Night’.
‘Undercover High School’, where you can witness Seo Kang-joon's perfect performance, will premiere on February 21 (Friday) at 9:50 PM.
