In ‘Shinbyung3’, the love messenger Oh Dae-hwan makes his entrance into the Mythical Unit.
The Genie TV original drama ‘Shinbyung3’ (written by Yoon Gi-young and Kang Go-eun, directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-wook) has unveiled the new company commander Jo Baek-ho (played by Oh Dae-hwan), who is full of love.
Returning with high expectations, ‘Shinbyung3’ features the unpredictable transfer of two new recruits and the return of an unprecedented villain, creating a crisis in the Mythical Unit. As Corporal Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho) faces a challenging military life ahead of his promotion, the series promises to deliver delightful laughter. The ‘Shinbyungz’ cast, including Kim Min-ho, Nam Tae-woo, Lee Sang-jin, Jo Jin-se, Lee Chung-gu, Kim Hyun-kyu, Lee Jeong-hyun, Jeon Seung-hoon, and Lee Soo-ji, will once again hard carry the show with their evolved military life cheat codes. The addition of ‘new faces’ Kim Dong-jun, Oh Dae-hwan, and Kim Yo-han further excites drama fans. Oh Dae-hwan, who joins for the first time this season, expressed, “I know there are many fans waiting for ‘Shinbyung3’ as it has received a lot of love. Since I joined for the first time this season, I worked hard during filming, and the two new recruits Kim Dong-jun and Kim Yo-han also worked hard on set, so please look forward to it.”
He further described his character Jo Baek-ho as “a soldier to the core and a righteous person. He is also endlessly kind and affectionate towards the soldiers.” Director Min Jin-ki also described Jo Baek-ho as “someone who appears strong on the outside but is clumsy on the inside, yet full of humanity,” stating, “I thought Oh Dae-hwan, who excels in comedy, was the perfect fit for the role of Jo Baek-ho.” This raises anticipation for how Jo Baek-ho will spread unexpected love in the Mythical Unit.
Kim Min-ho returns as the military spoon ‘Park Min-seok’, who is now a corporal. He is expected to suffer from the increased difficulty of military life as he encounters the ‘national spoon’ new recruit Jeon Se-gye, who reminds him of his own lowly days. Nam Tae-woo continues to be the ‘Choi Il-gu’ who has no peaceful days even as a final-year sergeant, while Lee Sang-jin plays the clumsy yet warm-hearted squad leader ‘Oh Seok-jin’, adding realism to the show. Kim Hyun-kyu, who played the villain ‘Seong Yoon-mo’ in season 1, and Jeon Seung-hoon, who plays the poker-faced private ‘Lim Da-hye’, also return, adding to the excitement. Additionally, Lee Soo-ji plays Park Min-seok's older sister and a special instructor with strong mental and physical strength, ‘Park Min-joo’.
The performances of ‘new faces’ Kim Dong-jun, Oh Dae-hwan, and Kim Yo-han are also highly anticipated. Kim Dong-jun, a global star from a child actor background, plays the new recruit ‘Jeon Se-gye’, who excels in looks, personality, and sense.
