The main trailer and poster announcing the welcome journey of Jeon Hye-jin and Jo Min-soo's ‘Riding Life’ have been released.
The Genie TV original drama ‘Riding Life’ (written by Seong Yoon-ah and Jo Won-dong, directed by Kim Cheol-kyu), which will be released on March 3 at 10 PM, depicts the life of a passionate working mom, Jeong Eun, who entrusts her daughter’s ‘7-year-old exam’ riding lessons to her mother, Jia, showcasing the struggles of three generations of women in the competitive Daechi-dong area.
‘Riding Life’ raises expectations with the collaboration of trusted actors like Jeon Hye-jin, Jo Min-soo, Jung Jin-young, and Jeon Seok-ho, along with director Kim Cheol-kyu, who has been recognized for his directing skills in ‘Mother’ and ‘Flower of Evil’. The drama vividly highlights the recent hot topic of private education for young children represented by the ‘7-year-old exam’, while portraying the conflicts and growth journey of the three generations of women as they ride together in a delightful and warm manner.
The newly released main trailer captures the various efforts of working mom Jeong Eun (played by Jeon Hye-jin) who is burning with educational passion for her daughter Seo-yoon (played by Kim Sa-rang) as she aims for the 7-year-old exam. Jeong Eun even uses a stopwatch to make Seo-yoon memorize an English speech and study. Moreover, upon hearing the superstition that having a red item during Seo-yoon's prestigious elementary school lottery means she will pass, Jeong Eun shows her enthusiasm by wrapping herself in red from head to toe.
Jia (played by Jo Min-soo), who takes on the riding lessons at Jeong Eun's request, is bewildered by the incomprehensible world of Daechi-dong. Jia is shocked by Jeong Eun's educational fervor for her 7-year-old daughter, exclaiming, “Is she taking the college entrance exam?” and feels hurt by the conflict with her daughter, saying, “Just because I’m your mom doesn’t mean I know everything.” The everyday ups and downs of their mother-daughter relationship, where they feel grateful and resentful a dozen times a day, promise to resonate with viewers. Additionally, the charming appearances of Young-wook (played by Jung Jin-young), who falls in love at first sight with Jia while riding with his granddaughter, and Jeong Eun's lovable husband Jae-man (played by Jeon Seok-ho) add to the anticipation of a drama filled with laughter and emotion.
The main poster released alongside showcases the interesting dynamics of the three generations of women involved in ‘Riding Life’. In the English academy, Seo-yoon is cheerfully presenting despite the overwhelming gazes. While Jeong Eun watches with a tense expression to see how well Seo-yoon is doing, Jia looks frustrated at Jeong Eun's reaction. Attention is drawn to how the three generations will resolve their conflicts and come to understand each other, as viewers will want to love and support their story.
With the release of the main trailer and poster heightening expectations, the Genie TV original drama ‘Riding Life’ will premiere on March 3, Monday at 10 PM on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA.
