The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ successfully held a fan event.

The ‘Trauma Center’ team successfully conducted a ‘Dopamine Recharge Emergency Fan Meeting’ at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall on the 10th.

‘Trauma Center’ tells the thrilling story of genius surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk (played by Ju Ji-hoon) who is appointed to revive a virtually non-existent trauma team, and it has gained a syndrome-level popularity.

Proving this popularity, over 20,000 applicants registered for the fan event held over two days through the Netflix Korea Instagram account, showcasing the viewers' great interest in the series.

Fans invited on that day, overcoming a high competition rate of 114:1, welcomed the main cast of ‘Trauma Center’ including Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung-ho, Jung Jae-kwang, and director Lee Do-yoon with loud cheers as they appeared on stage one after another. The actors and director also couldn’t hide their happy smiles and laughter as they felt the enthusiastic response from the audience.

At the event, fans enjoyed a special time in a warm atmosphere, hearing behind-the-scenes stories from the ‘Trauma Team’ and participating in games and events prepared for them.

Regarding the feeling of being ranked first among global non-English TV shows, Ju Ji-hoon said, “’Trauma Center’ is a project we all prepared hard for, studying together for 12 hours before filming. Seeing the praise comments and how people are falling for the actors after the release made me proud, and it has been a happy two weeks.”

Following the release, numerous reviews, comments, and memes have been pouring in. Choo Young-woo expressed, “I enjoyed all the reviews and comments with gratitude,” while Ha Young mentioned, “I was only going to watch until the middle, but I was most grateful for the comment saying they watched all the way to episode 8 in one go.” Jung Jae-kwang added, “Viewers keep asking for anesthesia. Thank you for loving ‘Park Kyung-won’.”

In particular, Yoon Kyung-ho, who is enjoying his prime as ‘Yurimping’ and ‘Petit Yurim’, spontaneously reenacted one of the iconic scenes from ‘Trauma Center’ where Han Yu-rim says, “If you get hit, you live; if you don’t, you die!” which drew enthusiastic cheers from the fans.

During the subsequent Q&A with fans, a variety of deep and affectionate questions about the series were asked.

When asked about the reason for the cross-edited scenes of ‘Yang Jae-won’s daily life, director Lee Do-yoon shared, “It was a scene I wanted to include out of ambition. I wanted to briefly show the story of ‘Yang Jae-won’s growth’ that runs through the entire drama.” Choo Young-woo added, “The filming order was similar to the order in the drama, so when I entered the operating room of Professor Baek Kang-hyuk at the end, I felt that Jae-won had grown, and I was overwhelmed. Just like Jae-won, I, Choo Young-woo, have also grown.”

When a fan requested to give nicknames like ‘No. 1’, ‘Anus’, and ‘Gangster’ to the characters, Ju Ji-hoon responded, “Helicopters,” and added, “Our Helicopter fans saved us,” which received a great response.

The actors and director had a delightful time fitting for the ‘Dopamine Recharge’ fan meeting, including quizzes and photo time for the ‘over-immersed’ fans who have rewatched the series multiple times, and finally said, “Above all, we are most grateful to the viewers, and we also thank director Lee Do-yoon who dedicated everything to create this work. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who worked hard as if we were one team.”

After successfully concluding the fan event in the third week since its release, the Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ is currently streaming on Netflix.
