‘Riding Life’ features Jo Min-soo and Jung Jin-young depicting an exciting romance for adults.
The Genie TV original drama ‘Riding Life’ (written by Seong Yoon-ah and Jo Won-dong, directed by Kim Cheol-kyu), set to premiere on March 3, follows the life of a passionate working mom, Jeong Eun, who entrusts her daughter’s ‘7-Year-Old Exam’ to her mother, Jia, showcasing the struggles of three generations of women in the competitive Daechi-dong area. The ‘7-Year-Old Exam’ is a neologism referring to the entrance test for a famous English academy.
The world of riding in ‘Riding Life’ vividly portrays the fierce reality involving mothers, fathers, and even grandparents, resonating with viewers. Within this context, Jo Min-soo and Jung Jin-young play Jia and Young-wook, who meet while riding with their grandchild and develop a romantic connection. Jia, an art therapist for children, and Young-wook, an English professor, grow closer as they ride at the request of their daughter and daughter-in-law.
The stills released by the production team capture the initial spark of romance between Jia and Young-wook. Their first meeting at a Daechi-dong English academy adds a unique twist. A situation arises where Young-wook is flustered by his grandchild Min-ho's unexpected behavior, and Jia steps in as the problem-solver, marking the beginning of their relationship.
The romance between Jia and Young-wook is expected to inject humor into the drama. Young-wook's clumsy yet charming demeanor, as he seems to fall for Jia at first sight, adds to the comedic element, raising curiosity about how Jia manages to make his heart race. Their playful interactions with the children are anticipated to serve as a healing point amidst the fierce competition in the riding world.
The production team stated, “Jo Min-soo and Jung Jin-young created heart-fluttering moments for adults, showcasing unexpected charm and chemistry. At the same time, they added weight to the drama with the vibe of those who have lived through the years. We hope you look forward to the elegance and unexpected cuteness of these two actors.”
Meanwhile, the Genie TV original drama ‘Riding Life’ is generating anticipation with the combination of director Kim Cheol-kyu, who has been recognized for his directing skills in ‘Mother’ and ‘Flower of Evil’, and a solid cast including Jeon Hye-jin, Jo Min-soo, Jung Jin-young, and Jeon Seok-ho. It will premiere on Monday, March 3, at 10 PM on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA.
