‘Undercover High School’ has released the first stills of Seo Kang-joon.

The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’ (written by Lim Young-bin, directed by Choi Jung-in), which will premiere on February 21 at 9:50 PM, tells the story of a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who disguises himself as a high school student to track down the whereabouts of Emperor Gojong's missing gold bars.

Seo Kang-joon plays the role of Jeong Hae-sung, an ace field agent of the NIS who is perfect in both looks and skills. Assigned a special mission by his director, Jeong Hae-sung infiltrates a high school as a student. Although he is solely focused on carrying out the operation, he soon finds himself getting involved in incidents happening within the school alongside the students.

In the stills released today (24th), Seo Kang-joon's diverse appearances draw interest. He perfectly pulls off the school uniform, capturing attention with his warm visuals that seem to have jumped straight out of a romance comic. On the other hand, his transformation into a perfect NIS agent for the mission is also striking. In particular, his sharp gaze and serious expression as he observes the crime scene raise expectations for his performance.

Seo Kang-joon is expected to fully immerse himself in the character of Jeong Hae-sung, who must suddenly become a high school student and carry out a secret operation, intricately portraying the character's narrative and backstory. Additionally, the episodes he will showcase with Jin Ki-joo (playing Oh Soo-ah) and Kim Shin-rok (playing Seo Myung-joo), as well as the students from Byeongmung High School, are also points of anticipation.

Nam Gung-seong, the EP of MBC who planned ‘Undercover High School’, stated, “As this is Seo Kang-joon’s first project after his military discharge, expectations are high. Please look forward to the performance of Seo Kang-joon, who possesses unique charm and acting skills.” He added, “What truth is Jeong Hae-sung trying to uncover? Please anticipate the interesting process of how this will be portrayed.”

Meanwhile, ‘Undercover High School’ is a collaboration between writer Lim Young-bin, who has presented solid stories and tight developments in works like ‘Sketch’ and ‘The Great Show’, and director Choi Jung-in, who has brought fresh fun to the home theater with ‘Not Yet Thirty’ and ‘Flowers Bloom at Night’.

‘Undercover High School’, featuring Seo Kang-joon’s performance, will premiere on February 21 at 9:50 PM.
