Disney+ has unveiled its lineup of Korean original new works for 2025 that will captivate subscribers worldwide.
First, the original series 'Trigger', which opens the first chapter of Disney+ in 2025, will be released exclusively on January 15. 'Trigger' captures the extreme reporting experiences of investigative journalism program producers, telling the story of a team of relentless reporters who aim to expose the wrongdoings of bad guys in this beautiful world, featuring team leader Kim Hyesoo, parachute newcomer Jung Seong-il, and optimistic assistant director Joo Jong-hyuk, all filled with passionate energy.
Director Yoo Seon-dong stated, "'Trigger' is a work that races breathlessly between events and emotions. I hope to deliver laughter, emotion, rest, and comfort to viewers while dreaming of a better 2025."
Receiving attention for the collaboration between Park Eun-bin, who won the Grand Prize in the TV category at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and the irreplaceable actor Seol Kyung-gu, 'Hyperknife' will also be released exclusively on Disney+ on March 19. 'Hyperknife' is a medical thriller that depicts the fierce confrontation and brain battle between 'Seok', a once-promising genius doctor, and his mentor 'Deok-hee', who caused him to fall into despair due to a series of events, promising extreme suspense and solid storytelling that can only be found on Disney+.
Director Kim Jeong-hyun expressed, "I am very happy and excited to present Disney+'s first medical thriller. Please look forward to the bloody confrontation between 'Seok' and 'Deok-hee', which you have never seen before."
Following that, 'Knock Off' and 'Nine Puzzle' are also set to be released in the first half of 2025. 'Knock Off', featuring trusted actors including Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah, is generating hot topics as it tells the story of a man whose life is completely turned upside down due to the IMF, transforming from an ordinary office worker to the king of the global counterfeit market.
Director Park Hyun-seok stated, "I am excited and grateful to meet global viewers on Disney+. Centered around Seong-jun, played by Kim Soo-hyun, the work features attractive characters and exciting episodes woven together, so please look forward to it."
Additionally, 'Nine Puzzle', featuring the uniquely energetic actors Kim Da-mi and Son Seok-koo, is generating anticipation with the synergy of director Yoon Jong-bin, known for his intense yet delicate direction. It is a mystery thriller that unravels a series of murders that began with a mysterious puzzle piece, ensuring that subscribers will remain on the edge of their seats.

Director Choo Chang-min stated, "This is my first challenge with a series, and I think the advantage is being able to capture the various emotions and deep breaths of the actors.
