Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-kyu from 'Nidonnasan Dokbak Tour 3' (hereafter 'Dokbak Tour 3') achieved the honor of being selected as winners in the entertainment category at the '2024 Korean Wave Entertainment Awards'.
The 'Dokbakz' Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, and Hong In-kyu attended the award ceremony held on the 22nd at the National Assembly Member's Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and embraced the glorious trophy. Yoo Se-yoon could not attend the ceremony due to other commitments, but PD Kim Soo-hyun, who has been with 'Dokbak Tour' since its launch, shared the joy of winning.
The '2024 Best Brand Awards - Korean Wave Entertainment Awards' is an entertainment award ceremony hosted by the Best Brand Association of Korea and organized by the Brand Value Research Institute. It awards stars who have contributed to the development of public cultural arts while promoting K-content and K-culture to the world. On this day, the Best Brand Association of Korea presented the award certificate and trophy to 'Dokbakz', stating, "You have greatly contributed to the development of public cultural arts, and thus we have selected you as the winner of the 'Korean Wave Entertainment Awards' in the entertainment category."
'Dokbak Tour' first aired on September 23, 2023, and is currently being broadcast successfully through Season 3. Notably, in February, Nielsen Korea reported that it ranked first as the 'most-watched entertainment program among women in their 30s'. Additionally, it ranked first in the 'Saturday Non-Drama Popularity' category compiled by Good Data Corporation and has consistently maintained a top position, solidifying its status as a representative travel entertainment program in Korea.
Kim Dae-hee, the eldest member of 'Dokbakz' who participated in the award ceremony, expressed, "This is the first award we've received for 'Dokbak Tour', so it holds special meaning," and added, "We will work harder to repay everyone who loves 'Dokbak Tour' with fun and laughter." He continued, "I hope everyone wraps up the remaining 2024 well, and in the upcoming 2025, the Year of the Blue Snake, I wish you all a happy year that overcomes any adversity." Kim Jun-ho stated, "As we have received such a great award, we will not disappoint anyone. We would appreciate it if you could continue to watch our friendship journey among the five of us. Dokbak Tour forever!" showing his endless affection.
Jang Dong-min remarked, "There was always joy while doing 'Dokbak Tour'. I hope it continues like this in the future. I am very grateful to receive an award like today." Yoo Se-yoon shared, "I think this is the happiest award since I started in broadcasting. There is no happier award than this, as you support and love our friendship." Hong In-kyu added humorously, "As the name 'Korean Wave Entertainment Awards' suggests, I will act like a Korean Wave star and strive to meet the expectations of the viewers and 'Dokbakz'."
Meanwhile, 'Nidonnasan Dokbak Tour 3', loved for its travel stories of 'comedians' true friends' shouting "As long as it's not me!" is broadcast simultaneously every Saturday at 8:20 PM on Channel S, K-star, and AXN.
