Kyungwonjae, with a total area of 6,702㎡, is a hanok hotel that opened in 2015, featuring 30 guest rooms, 2 banquet halls, and a Korean restaurant.
Owned by the Incheon Economic Agency, Kyungwonjae operated as Kyungwonjae Ambassador Hotel for the past 10 years until it was transformed into Kyungwonjae by Walkerhill in May, when Da-il International Hospitality Group took over the management rights.
Kyungwonjae by Walkerhill aims to be a public cultural platform that coexists with the local community, going beyond just being a luxury hotel.
Kyungwonjae by Walkerhill stated, "We are engaging in sustainable social contribution activities such as traditional performances, art experiences, traditional culture education for children and youth, lunchbox sharing services, and joint weddings in collaboration with local cultural and artistic organizations," adding, "We will continue to establish ourselves as a hub connecting the dignified daily lives and culture of the local community through discounts for Incheon citizens, the operation of a citizen-accessible lounge, and the regularization of the Kyungwonjae Festival."
Kyungwonjae by Walkerhill is undergoing a complete renovation of the hotel. Master craftsman Choi Gi-young, a holder of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage, is creating hotel symbols, and the lobby structure is being improved to enhance the panoramic view. The hotel's restaurant is also diversifying and upgrading its offerings by adding Western course meals to the existing Korean dishes. Incheon citizens will receive a 10% discount on room rates, and plans are underway to expand partnerships with Walkerhill Premium Membership and SKT Membership to increase customer benefits.
