Singer Kim Ho-joong's fans have made a donation.
The official fan cafe of Kim Ho-joong, Tvarotti, conducted a fundraising campaign for a week starting from December 16 last year and donated a total of 453,614,280 won through the Fruit of Love on the 23rd of last month.
Tvarotti received a certificate of good fan club from the Seoul Community Chest of Korea, the organization behind the Fruit of Love. They stated, "We certify that you are an honorary member of the good fan club leading the culture of sharing in South Korea."
Previously, Tvarotti donated 350 million won for disaster relief for flood victims, 175 million won for emergency aid for children affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake, and 10 tons of rice to the Children's Foundation.
Kim Ho-joong is currently on trial for hit-and-run charges related to drunk driving from last May. The first trial court sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months in prison, but he is currently appealing the decision.
In court, Kim Ho-joong stated, "I am truly sorry to the victim and I reflect on my actions. I will strive to live a life that does not repeat the same mistakes rather than one that does everything well ten times. I will get my act together and live properly." He remains in custody until the appeal trial in February.
