The newly renovated Megabox COEX branch is ready to welcome summer audiences.
Megabox announced on the 19th that its flagship COEX branch, which represents the brand, has completed a major renovation to celebrate its 25th anniversary and will begin preparations for the summer peak season starting from the 24th.
As the first and core flagship location of Megabox, the COEX branch embodies the brand's identity and vision. Through this renovation, two new special theaters reflecting recent movie-watching trends have been introduced, and all screening rooms have been upgraded to special theaters.
First, the previously announced ‘MEGA | LED’ special theater features LG Electronics' ultra-large LED screen ‘LG Miracle Class’, providing an innovative theater experience. In addition to movie screenings, it offers a higher-level space experience with various content such as animations, concerts, live viewings, GV, and stage greeting events. Currently, three screening rooms at the COEX branch have been transformed into ‘MEGA | LED’ theaters.
Six screening rooms have been renovated into ‘Le Recliner’ special theaters. They offer extreme comfort with a reclining seat system that can be freely adjusted to fit individual body types and preferences. Additionally, the world-renowned Meyer Sound speakers, chosen by the best performance venues, provide an even more magnificent sound experience.
With this, the Megabox COEX branch has transformed into a space that combines the theater's technological prowess and premium viewing environment through ‘Dolby Cinema’, ‘MEGA | MX4D’, ‘Boutique’, ‘MEGA | LED’, and ‘Le Recliner’ special theaters.
To celebrate the reopening, Megabox COEX will hold various events. First, a special screening will be held to experience the excellent contrast and color reproduction of ‘MEGA | LED’. Selected films with outstanding color and depth will be screened.
Additionally, from the 24th to June 22nd, a stamp event will be held for audiences who experience all three formats of special theaters at the COEX branch, including the newly introduced LED and recliner theaters, with various prizes such as LG Standby Me and Sonohotel & Resort gift certificates to be drawn.
Throughout June, a ‘Ten-Ten Discount’ event will allow audiences to watch regular screenings before 10 AM or after 10 PM for 10,000 KRW, and starting from June 2nd, the online store will sell special theater tickets for ‘MEGA | LED’ and ‘Le Recliner’ at a special price of 20,000 KRW for the first 500 customers.
