
‘Hitman 2’ (directed by Choi Won-seop) continues to hold the box office throne, while the new Marvel release ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ (hereafter ‘Captain America 4’) has topped the reservation rate with overwhelming numbers, preparing for its release.
According to the integrated ticketing system of the Korean Film Council on the 11th, ‘Hitman 2’ attracted 25,576 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to 2,341,670. It has surpassed the break-even point (2.3 million) and has entered a phase of long-term success.
In second place is ‘Secret That Cannot Be Told’ (directed by Seo Yu-min). On the same day, it attracted 17,689 viewers, with a cumulative audience of 592,171. It is the only film released during the Lunar New Year holiday that has not surpassed the break-even point, struggling to gain traction. The break-even point for the film is approximately 800,000.
Song Hye-kyo’s ‘The Black Nuns’ (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae) has made a comeback to 3rd place. It received 10,390 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,610,702. The film's break-even point is around 1.6 million, successfully surpassing the break-even point alongside ‘Hitman 2’.
Unfortunately, ‘Broken’ has dropped to 4th place. It attracted 9,355 viewers, with a cumulative audience of about 170,000. The film, which received disappointing results from the start, continued to struggle during its first weekend, leaving a sense of regret. The break-even point for the film is approximately 1.1 million.
The real-time reservation rate leader is ‘Captain America 4’, recording 43.1%. Following it are ‘Secret That Cannot Be Told’, ‘Hitman 2’, and ‘Brutalist’ in order.
