
Kwon Sang-woo's ‘Hitman 2’ has maintained its position at the top of the box office for two consecutive days.
According to the data from the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the morning of the 24th, ‘Hitman 2’ attracted 75,696 viewers the previous day, bringing its total audience to 179,689.
The film depicts the more challenging writing journey of Jun (Kwon Sang-woo), a former legendary National Intelligence Service agent turned mega-hit writer who has fallen into a creative slump. The sequel to the beloved ‘Hitman’ (2020), which featured charming comedic moments, fantastic chemistry, high-quality action, and fresh webtoon elements, along with the standout performance of the sole female lead, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, has a break-even point of approximately 2.3 million.
‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho) maintained its second place. On the same day, it attracted 14,910 viewers, bringing its total audience to 4,569,257. The break-even point is around 6.3 million.
In third place, ‘Substance’ made a comeback, drawing 5,782 viewers. The theatrical version of ‘Pokémon AG: Mew and the Wave Hero Lucario’ took fourth place, while ‘Black Nuns’ secured fifth.
Currently, in real-time ticket sales, Song Hye-kyo's ‘Black Nuns’ is overwhelmingly in first place with 40.9%. Pre-sales have surpassed 200,000. ‘Hitman 2’ is in second place, followed by ‘Secret That Cannot Be Told’ in third. Fourth place is ‘IU Concert: The Winning’.
