The popular virtual YouTubers (VTubers) of Japan's largest virtual group 'Nijisanji' are landing at Megabox.
On the 11th, Megabox announced that it has signed a content business agreement exclusively with Nijisanji for domestic theaters and will hold a special live broadcast event to welcome the New Year together with Nijisanji on the 31st.
‘Nijisanji’ is a flagship project of Japan's next-generation entertainment company ANYCOLOR Inc., launched in 2018. Currently, about 150 virtual YouTubers are actively working on YouTube and various streaming platforms, revolutionizing the industry. Nijisanji VTubers, known for their unique content and outstanding entertainment skills, are loved by fans not only in Korea but around the world.
With this business agreement, Megabox will strengthen its competitiveness by exclusively screening Nijisanji VTuber content in domestic theaters, starting with the Nijisanji Countdown Live Viewing. The New Year's Countdown Live Viewing event 'NIJISANJI COUNTDOWN LIVE 2024→2025', featuring Nijisanji VTubers, will take place at Megabox COEX on the 31st at 10:30 PM.
This Countdown Live Viewing will feature many popular VTubers representing Nijisanji. The popular duo 'ChroNoiR' consists of Kuzuha, who was the first male virtual YouTuber in Japan to reach 1 million YouTube subscribers (currently 1.86 million), and Kanae, who was the second to achieve this milestone (currently 1.37 million), holding a unique record in the industry.
Additionally, the four-member male group ROF-MAO, consisting of Kagami Hayato, Kenmochi Touya, Fuwa Minato, and Kaida Haru, will also perform. Each member has an average of over 870,000 YouTube subscribers. Furthermore, the rookie VTuber Hyakumantenbara Salome, who achieved 1 million YouTube subscribers just 14 days after debuting, setting the record for the fastest time, will also make an appearance, raising high expectations.
To celebrate the content agreement with Nijisanji, Megabox will offer various special benefits, including 'special tickets' for the audience of this live viewing.
