The Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced on the 31st that BTS V has donated 200 million won to support the victims of the recent large-scale wildfires and the firefighters who are dedicated on the front lines.

Of this donation, 100 million won will be used for emergency relief activities and recovery support for the wildfire victims in areas such as Sancheong-gun in Gyeongnam, Uiseong-gun in Gyeongbuk, and Ulju-gun in Ulsan.

The remaining 100 million won will be utilized for support projects aimed at the recovery and improvement of treatment for firefighters who have worked hard in firefighting and rescue operations on-site.

BTS V stated, “I express my deep respect to those who have suffered due to this sudden disaster, as well as to the firefighters, rescue workers, and volunteers who are risking their lives on the front lines. During my military service, I felt very upset watching the news during evening roll call, and I was even more concerned thinking that some of my comrades might have family members who are affected. Fortunately, the wildfire has been mostly contained, but I hope there will be no further loss of life, and I wish for my donation to be a small help.”

Chairman Kim Cheol-soo of the Korean Red Cross expressed gratitude, saying, “We deeply appreciate this valuable donation to protect the safety and lives of the people,” and added, “We will execute the donation transparently and responsibly so that it can be a practical support for the victims and firefighters.”
